# Driving Desperadoes - Redux — Dunga Run team #13

Driving Desperadoes - Redux is competing in the Dunga Run Spring 2026, 21–28 November 2026 (7 days, 7 nights), a charity road rally of 2,600 km across New Zealand's North Island, starting at Orewa Beach Holiday Park, Orewa, Auckland, New Zealand.

Paying It Forward: Blessed with healthy grandchildren, we want to give back to struggling families who need a hand changing things up

## Their story

John and myself have been friends for over 50 years. We have motorcycled together, flatted together, driven together and have had fun together and even met for shared adventures when we were overseas. Last year we drove route 66 together which rekindled our close friendship and our love of driving, especially on not often used roads. We have always been supporters and involvers of great causes especially where children and families are concerned. We both have young grandchildren and are truely blessed that all are healthy. So time to play it forward and do something for struggling families and give them a chance to changing things up a bit. And have fun at the same time. Especially when it is the first time in NZ. It appears to be a great cause - so why not?
