# Dunga Dynasty — Dunga Run team #9

Dunga Dynasty is competing in the Dunga Run Spring 2026, 21–28 November 2026 (7 days, 7 nights), a charity road rally of 2,600 km across New Zealand's North Island, starting at Orewa Beach Holiday Park, Orewa, Auckland, New Zealand.

## Driving for

After his Mum was diagnosed with terminal cancer, Hunter and his family had the opportunity to spend time away together thanks to the generosity of a family friend. That experience led to his Mum founding TimeOut Charity

## Their story

Four friends with a beat-up Dunga and a dream. Do they have any mechanical knowledge or experience with fixing cars? No. Do they know NZ roads like the back of their hand? Also no. But they’re enthusiastic and they’re ready for adventure; and after surviving the harrows of Auckland traffic they’re ready to take on the ultimate challenge.. open roads. 

Between the team, they’ve camped in storms, been shipwrecked, got lost in the mountains, and survived parenthood (so far). They’re also no strangers to broken down cars on long road trips. So if they’re prepared for anything, it’s disaster.

After his Mum was diagnosed with terminal cancer, Hunter and his family had the opportunity to spend time away together thanks to the generosity of a family friend. That experience led to his Mum founding TimeOut Charity; which has helped many families in NZ share precious time together with the help of home and bach owners across the country. 

Now, Hunter, his wife Britney, and long-time friends; Sarah and Tom are rallying to raise funds for TimeOut so other families can create lasting, meaningful memories with their loved ones too.
