# Ritalin Racers — Dunga Run team #7

Ritalin Racers is competing in the Dunga Run Spring 2026, 21–28 November 2026 (7 days, 7 nights), a charity road rally of 2,600 km across New Zealand's North Island, starting at Orewa Beach Holiday Park, Orewa, Auckland, New Zealand.

## Driving for

I've been Building this Mini for 25 yrs to use in rally events like this. 
I love the cause of timeout. Meaningful time with loved ones when your days are numbered, is so important for the wellbeing of all involved. Being part of being able to offer this opportunity to families and loved ones combined with driving 2600 km through open roads of North Island to raise awareness of this cause is a fantastic idea.

## Their story

25 Years in the Making
Matthew has owned this 50-year-old classic Mini for over two decades, slowly transforming it into a road-legal track machine. It was built specifically for epic endurance challenges just like this.

Because it’s a lifelong project car, Event Director Doug kindly granted us a special exemption to bring it on the rally without putting it on the auction block at the finish line.

The Journey Ahead
Cramming two grown Kiwi fullas into a tight, track-tuned classic Mini for 2,600 km of rugged North Island backroads is going to be a serious test of our spines. But every bump and rattle will be worth it.

We are incredibly proud to raise funds and awareness for TimeOut Charity. When a family is facing an incurable illness, creating lasting memories together is everything. Help the Ritalin Racers smash our fundraising goal and give Kiwi families the ultimate gift: precious time together.
